The Lummelunda Archipelago has six islands: The Town, Snowflake Island, Medieval Plains, Nature’s Rest, Sandy Coast, and Submerged Islands.
These islands are divided into regions, all with different themes.
These are the Islands and Regions currently open to the public:
Islands | Regions |
---|---|
Medieval Plains | Tourney Wolds |
Rusty Pikes | |
Nature's Rest | Pioneer Points |
Shaded Headland |
Lands are the key to accessing the Lummelunda Archipelago. Think of a land as your home in the Lummelunda Archipelago.
In total, the entire Archipelago is made of 100,000 lands. Some of these lands will be sold to the public, and some will remain with the DAO. Examples of lands used by the DAO are Townhubs, lands in central places in each region where neighbors can interact, trade, and carry out various activities.
The land, besides giving access to the game, presents various utilities:
Resources gathering: fishing, farming, extracting resources;
Refinery & Craftery: On a land plot, players can do all the activities they need to turn the resources into refined resources, which they can then use to craft items for their land plot or for their avatar.
Placeable objects: Players can place their items on their land plot, some of which are purely vanity and others of further utility;
Trading: Players can place a storefront in their land plot and put the items they want to sell. To learn more about trading, head to 🤝In-game Trading;
Landscaping: Players can change the terrain of their land plot to change a given land's initial natural and artificial physical features;
Land plots come with some attributes and properties. They have soil and water percentage which determines their natural and artificial features. In addition to this, soils have types and fertility, while water has types and quality.
Soil Type: This affects which crops, plants, or seeds grow the fastest (not yet implemented)
Soil Fertility: Higher-quality soil results in more irrigated plots, which boost crop yields at harvest time.
Water Type: This determines the types of fish you can fish.
Water Quality: Better quality water increases your chances of catching higher-quality fish (not yet implemented)
Land plots can be bought and sold. In the future, landowners will be able to share their land plots with friends to allow them to access the game or to capitalize on their investment by renting a portion or all of it. More information will be coming, so stay updated!
