My Neighbor Alice operates fully on-chain thanks to the Chromia Blockchain. This means that every action is recorded on the blockchain, and all items are stored there as well.

NFTs created within the game are native to the Chromia blockchain, and you can buy and sell them directly within the game (head to 🤝In-game Trading to learn more). Currently, we do not support the buying and selling of Chromia items in our 🏪Marketplace, but we are actively working to enable this functionality.

Looking ahead, we envision a future where everyone has complete autonomy over their assets, including the ability to fully utilize assets from other blockchains. To some extent, this is already possible. There are existing My Neighbor Alice items we created on other chains such as the BNB Chain or Ethereum. These assets can be used within the game once transferred to Chromia using the procedure in the section 🔗How to use your NFTs. However, while on Chromia, they cannot be sold within the game. If you wish to sell these items, you will need to transfer them back to their original chain. Specifically, if these assets originated on the BNB Chain, they can be bought and sold using our 🏪Marketplace.
